Dr. Giovana De Amorim Levin

Dr. Giovana de Amorim Levin is a duly qualified Medical Practitioner and has been practicing Psychiatry in Canada since 2008. She received her degree in medicine from Brazil. Dr. Levin became certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada after finishing a Residency Program in Psychiatry at the University of Manitoba. She has practiced General and Forensic Psychiatry since then.

Dr. Levin has assessed many individuals with mental illness in her practice, both as a general and forensic psychiatrist, and performed hundreds of third-party evaluations for disability and return to work matters. Dr. Levin experience includes treatment and follow-up for inpatients and outpatients with major mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder), depressive, anxiety and trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric diagnoses. Her special interests include human rights, law and psychiatry, disorders involving social deficits (such as autism), obsessive-compulsive disorder, and psychiatric rehabilitation.

Dr. John Bradford

Dr. Bradford will be joining the practice in September 2023. Dr. John Bradford is a graduate of Medicine and received a Diploma in Psychological Medicine from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He worked in South Africa, the UK, and Canada in Forensic Psychiatry. He holds specialist degrees in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. He worked at the University of Ottawa for over 30 years and was the Head of the Division of Forensic Psychiatry until 2010. Dr. Bradford was the founder of various research and clinical programs in Canada, including the subspecialty in Forensic Psychiatry, granted by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has extensive scientific publications and received many awards related to his work. He received the Order of Canada in 2011 and the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal in 2012.

Dr. Bradford has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of major mental illnesses. Dr. Bradford has testified in numerous criminal and civil trials and tribunals. His experience includes assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients with major mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder), paraphilias, depressive, anxiety and trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric diagnoses. More recently, he expanded his interest into independent psychiatric examinations and has extensive experience in psychiatric rehabilitation.
